I envy beauty bloggers. Their ability to wrap their fingers around the latest and greatest and display these treasures for all of the world to see. I have a very hard time blogging as it is and when I jump from blog to blog, seeing shimmery taupes and fuchsia glosses, it’s stunning poetry to me.
I don’t talk about cosmetics very much online. I have been working on my own line for almost two years now to tie into LuxuryLaneSoap.com but it keeps getting put on the back burner so I can “test” and take notes on the latest and greatest trend or ingredient. In all actuality, I don’t want a reason to stop buying new products. So…how come I am not blogging about it?
The reasoning is pretty simple…I am very aware, yet very awkward and I always worry about how I translate myself online, and in person. I feel like I am always working against the stigma that I am a ‘party goer’, hip, trendy…oh look at her, she has tattoos! Bah. Over time, my social anxiety has developed to the point that I can not even walk into a building without a panic attack. I wasn’t like this when I was younger and it’s hard fighting against how my brain perceives situations. New things scare me and blogging still feels new, like I haven’t found my place. Of course I haven’t, because I always jump in and jump right back out.
So you wanna be a beauty blogger (dot dot dot) is an awesome article I passed over yesterday and really gave me the little push I needed to try and spend some time on this me project.
So, I am going to try this again. KyleeLane.com is my hub and there’s no reason I can’t blog about the most amazing neutral pallet ever. *cough* LORAC unzipped *cough*
It is very likely that I may never bring up cosmetics again. Or, I might keep posting photos of my latest obsession. Either way, it will (or won’t) be right here in the personal category of KyleeLane.com, tagged and searchable, just in case you are mildly interested.

For videos, I adore watching jalapena2007 with my coffee every morning as she is one of the only people I can watch on youtube without cringing.
